Dance & Teaching

Workshop

This workshop combines movement, interactive group discussion, hands-on activities, and lecture to immerse us in embodied practices of cultural diversity. We will come to see and feel the ancient art of dance for what it is at its deepest roots: a vehicle for building human connection through kinesthetic empathy. If we move in sync, we feel in sync.

Professional Conferences and Programs

I participate in conferences and programs that incorporate dance in their curricula.

Graduate Course

This course uses movement, interactive group discussion, hands-on activities, and lecture to immerse us in embodied practices of cultural diversity. This course has been taught at the College of Education at UGA.

College Programs and Activities

I believe in teaching people about how dance as an art form can enhance their academic experience.

K-12 Programs and Activities

Children can learn about other cultures and languages in a way that engages them outside of the classroom.

Non-Academic/Senior Programs

Seniors are encouraged to experience kinesthetic empathy through dance. We will feel the joy of Latin music and dance by building connections with others and with the self (with our body, our sense of sight, sense of sound, sense of smell and sense of touch) while increasing cardiovascular health and improving posture, balance and co-ordination.
