Service to the Community UGA Tango Club The UGA tango club’s mission is to foster cultural diversity in the UGA and Athens community as well as promote cross-cultural integration of its different members through the Argentinean Tango dance support UGA student organizations and community groups through dance performances. Milonga Tropical Milonga Tropical is a seasonally recurring artistically created performance dance and musical event celebrating the culture, language, music, dance and people of Latin America. Project Safe - Dancing with the Athens Stars A dance show like no other! 10 teams comprised of local “stars” matched with dance instructors compete on the big stage at the Classic Center. Private Dance Lessons If you are looking for one-on-one or couples instruction to learn or perfect a dance, a private lesson will give you more confidence. K-12 Programs and Activities Children can learn about other cultures and languages in a way that engages them outside of the classroom. Senior Workshop at Iris Place This is a workshop designed for senior citizens. By being actively engaged in dance, they can feel joyfully present, democratically empowered, and physically fit via a creative and artistic outlet and new social opportunities
